KIMBERLY GRABARZ

Professional Summary

Kimberly A. Grabarz is a litigation associate in the New England office. She has handled civil litigation in state trial courts in both Rhode Island and Connecticut.  Her appellate experience includes drafting briefs to the United States Supreme Court and successfully arguing before the Rhode Island Supreme Court.  Prior to joining Pond North, LLP, Ms. Grabarz’s professional career focused on complex civil litigation, including professional malpractice in the healthcare field, general insurance liability and federal admiralty claims.  She has provided both counseling and litigation services to institutional and individual clients in the healthcare industry and prepared the defense of complex medical malpractice cases for trial.  Ms. Grabarz also has represented clients in arbitration and mediation proceedings, as well as provided counseling for healthcare professionals during application for medical staff privileges including disciplinary matters.  Since joining Pond North, Ms. Grabarz has focused on complex tort litigation, involving the defense of personal injury and wrongful death asbestos injury claims.

Ms. Grabarz earned her Juris Doctor degree from Roger Williams University School of Law, a Master of Marine Affairs degree from the University of Rhode Island and her bachelor’s degree from the University of South Alabama.  She is admitted to practice law in state and federal courts in Rhode Island and Connecticut.  Ms. Grabarz is also an active member on the Alumni Board of Directors at Roger Williams University School of Law where she presently holds the office of Vice President.
