Professional Summary Mr. Urso is a partner in the firm’s New England office. He has extensive experience representing a variety of clients in a wide range of business and franchise related matters. Mr. Urso’s work on transactional matters includes preparation of the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) and Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC), asset acquisitions, divestitures, and preparation and negotiation of all types of business agreements and restrictive covenants. In addition, Mr. Urso is a seasoned litigator who has represented individuals and companies in simple and complex litigation matters including, product liability, medical and professional malpractice, franchise disputes, unfair business practice claims, construction, and real estate. Mr. Urso has also experienced a high level of success on appellate matters in Federal and Massachusetts state courts. Prior to joining Pond North LLP, Mr. Urso served as General Counsel for a national franchise company. Mr. Urso earned his Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers Law School in 2000 and his bachelor’s degree from Muhlenberg College. He is admitted to the Massachusetts bar, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, First Circuit.
