Professional Summary

Carlos A. Silva is a litigation associate in the San Francisco office, focusing his practice on toxic tort, asbestos defense.  Mr. Silva oversees the day-to-day handling of cases involving alleged exposure to asbestos and actively participates in all phases of litigation.  Prior to joining Pond North, Mr. Silva was an associate at Yaron & Associates in San Francisco where he focused his practice on defense of accident injuries, asbestos claims and participated in trial proceedings.

Mr. Silva earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with an Honors Certificate from San Francisco State University in 1996. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law in 2000, where he was a quarter-finalist in the Hale Moot Court Honors Program.  While attending law school, Mr. Silva served as a legal extern to the Honorable Laughlin E. Waters at the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and also to the Honorable Candace J. Cooper at the Superior Court of California, Santa Monica Branch.
