Professional Summary
Ann I. Park has extensive experience in commercial business disputes, insurance coverage, and environmental law matters, having practiced commercial civil litigation with national law firms before joining Pond North LLP. Prior to joining Pond North, Ms. Park won a million-dollar verdict in an entertainment law dispute against Universal Music Group, and represented a client in appealing a copyright infringement verdict on First Amendment grounds to the United States Supreme Court. Since joining the Firm, Ms. Park has concentrated her practice in defending the Firm’s national clients in complex toxic tort, asbestos products liability, and premises liability actions. Ms. Park is involved in all aspects of pre-trial, trial, and post-trial work, including appeals. Most recently, Ms. Park briefed and argued an appeal for one of the Firm’s Fortune 100 clients before the California Court of Appeal, First Appellate District.
Ms. Park received her Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude from Harvard University in 1984, and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1987, where she served as Managing Editor of the UCLA Law Review. She has served as a Trustee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and is currently President-Elect of the Asian Bar of California. Ms. Park has been appointed by Los Angeles Mayor James Hahn to several Blue Ribbon Commissions relating to police reform issues. Ms. Park was appointed by Governor Davis to the California Commission on Uniform State Laws. Ms. Park also serves as a Judge pro tempore in the Los Angeles County Superior Court.
Ms. Park is admitted to practice in the California state courts, the United States District Courts for the Northern, Central and Southern Districts of California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
